Stephanie and Aaron got married at the beautiful historic church St. Mary's in Church Point, NS
When we first walked in we were blown away by its beauty. Click on the link above to view the website.
Pictures do not do it justice, you must see it yourself :)
A picture of the ring bearer holding up the ceremony program!
The bride and her father walking towards her husband to be :)
Stephanie and Aaron include the unity candle in their wedding.
Both mothers lit the candle prior to the ceremony
Stephanie's family speaks french (as well as english) and Aaron's family speaks english.
Their ceremony was bilingual with one priest and one minister.
The ring exchange

Stephanie and Aaron then took the candles that their mother's lit at the beginning of the ceremony and lit the center candle together.

Then it was time for the signing of the marriage license :)
Then the minister did something I've never seen done before.
It's called tying the knot.
Now we all know that some people get married say "we're tying the knot", the phrase actually comes from an old tradion.
The right hands are joined together and tied with the priest/ministers stole.
It signifys the binding of the couple within the church.
Aaron, you may kiss your bride :)
and one last picture of them leaving the church as man and wife!
If you're just joining us and you missed out on their getting ready photos, you can find them HERE!
Check back in a few days when we'll share some photos from their formals with you :)
